The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly on Planning for an SAP Analytics Cloud Deployment

Milliken Corporation has selected SAP Analytics Cloud as its business intelligence enterprise platform to replace its former Microsoft-based business intelligence solution. Though it knew that SAP Analytics Cloud was undergoing rapid changes, it selected the product given SAP’s focus and investment into innovating the product. Milliken made the decision to execute a phase zero initiative to strategically plan how the tool can shift the business intelligence paradigm but to also identify key capabilities or lack thereof to lay out its implementation road map. This exercise provided insight to many undocumented considerations, discovered opportunities to innovation, and discovered challenges that would either have to be accounted for in its implementation or as feedback to SAP in its road map. This session will highlight many of these learnings that can help a company avoid surprises as it rolls out SAP Analytics Cloud.
